Directions to Pangbourne’s Campus

Note: A satnav may direct you to Bere Court Road - please instead follow the route along Pangbourne Hill.

From the M4/A4: Exit at Junction 12. At the roundabout take the exit for Theale and Pangbourne A4. At the next roundabout go straight on. At the third roundabout take the A340 exit (the third exit from the M4/A4 Reading or the first exit from the A4 Newbury). Travel along the A430 for 3.7 miles, then in Pangbourne Village turn left opposite the Cross Keys pub onto Pangbourne Hill. From here, drive for 0.8 miles and then turn left into the College drive.

From Reading: Take the M4/A4 route above or take the A329 Oxford Road to Pangbourne. In the village go straight on at the first mini-roundabout. At the second mini-roundabout turn left opposite Copper Inn. Take the first right onto Pangbourne Hill, drive for 0.8 miles and then turn left into the College drive.

From Newbury: Take the M4/A4 route above or take the B4009 to Hermitage. Turn right along the country lanes through Yattendon towards Pangbourne. Turn right into the main College entrance after the blue signs for Bowden Playing Fields.

From Oxford: Take A34 south to the M4 and follow directions above, or take the A4070 and then the A329 past Wallingford, through Moulsford and Streatley. Pass our Boat Club on your left and continue on to the mini-roundabout in Pangbourne village. Go straight on at the roundabout. Take the first right onto Pangbourne Hill, drive for 0.8 miles and then turn left into the College drive.

An hourly service runs from Reading Station to Pangbourne village which takes 30 minutes, and a two hourly service from Goring Station which takes 20 minutes. More information about timetables and routes can be acquired from Traveline on 0871 2002233.

The College runs six bus routes for pupils from Ascot, Basingstoke, Henley/Wargrave, Maidenhead, Newbury and Wantage. Further information can be found on the College Bus Route map.

Pangbourne railway station is on the main line from London Paddington via Reading to Oxford and Bristol and is just a 5 minute taxi journey from the College. Taxis can be taken from the taxi rank at Reading station, or booked in advance from Pangbourne Taxis (01491 671979).

Pangbourne is easily accessible from all of the main London airports by road. Heathrow is 40 minutes away, Gatwick is 1 hour & 20 minutes away and Luton is 1 hour & 10 minutes away.

Alternatively, British Rail and Underground links to London Paddington terminal can be taken. From there you can get a train to Reading and then change for Pangbourne.
