On Wednesday evening, the Mess Hall at Pangbourne College was transformed into ‘Brasserie RG8’. Several weeks of planning led to our Boarders sipping on a peach fizz arrival drink, perusing the menu over candlelight, and enjoying a three-course dinner served to their clothed tables.
The Holroyd Howe team produced an array of dishes which included a ‘Traditional Caesar salad’ (a firm favourite with the pupils), ‘Harissa-marinated cod’, and ‘Chocolate torte with an orange and cinnamon sauce’.
The atmosphere was lively and the orders kept on coming. Well done to the whole team who served 110 people a three-course dinner in 75 minutes.
A genuine ‘team’ effort with staff from neighbouring Holroyd Howe schools joining us, as well as the positive feedback, would suggest a successful event enjoyed by all. We are looking forward to the next one!
