Pangbourne College's Annual 100% Colour Run Celebrates Another Successful Year

Pangbourne College's highly anticipated annual event, the 100% Colour Run, once again brought together the school community for a day of spirited competition. With an impressive 95% participation rate, this year's event built upon the success of previous years and showcased the collective enthusiasm and unity of #TeamPangbourne, raising over £1,000 for the Pangbourne College Community Fund https://www.pangbourne.com/our-community/community-fund, which supports a range of charities.

Divided into various categories, the Colour Run saw students compete for top honours in both individual and divisional achievements. Among the highlights were the outstanding performances of Port Jackson and Illawarra in the senior categories, with remarkable participation rates of 98% and 89%, respectively. In the junior division, Harbinger and St George stood out with a perfect 100% participation rate.

The event not only fostered a sense of healthy competition but also contributed to the overall divisional sports trophy, awarded at the end of each term. Divisions that achieved 100% participation were awarded additional points, highlighting the importance of teamwork and inclusivity.

The Results were:

Top 10 finishes:

Senior Boys: Port Jackson

Senior Girls: Illawarra

Yr 9 and 10 Boys: Harbinger

Yr 9 and 10 Girls: St George

 

The percentage of each division completing the course:

Senior Boys: Port Jackson (98%)

Senior Girls: Illawarra (89%)

Yr 9 and 10 Boys: Port Jackson and Macquarie (Joint winners, both at 100% )

Yr 9 and 10 Girls: St George (95%)

A special mention must go to Reuben (U6 PJ) who won the senior boys race for the 4th time in a row. He is therefore unbeaten in this race throughout his time at Pangbourne, a very special achievement that deserves congratulations.

Conceived by former Chiefs of College Rory Hogan and Emily Cox, The Colour Run has evolved into a cherished tradition at Pangbourne College, embodying the spirit of unity and teamwork. As it continues to grow in popularity, the event remains a testament to the school's commitment to fostering a vibrant and inclusive community.
