Upper Sixth pupil, Megan Fergusson, has been offered an incredible sponsorship opportunity with top-class sports equipment company, Grays International

As a Grays Team Sports Brand Ambassador, she will also be a Grays Hockey Sponsored Player.

As part of her newfound responsibilities within the role, school and club visits are on the agenda. Megan will spend time helping to build confidence with children that lack belief.

Working closely with Directors of Sport at numerous schools, she will attend various events throughout the year. Most recently, Megan visited Gosfield School where she was a part of a Q&A panel for Year 5 and senior school pupils.

Megan will also attend hockey training sessions where she can provide schools and their teams with her expertise during training.

Through hard work, determination and resilience, great achievements are often attained. For Megan, this couldn’t be more true. Megan’s hockey career has gone from strength to strength over the years, despite being born without her lower left arm. Learning the art of adaptability, she has never let this hold her back.

“I’ve never let my disability hold me back in life and in hockey” explains Megan, “I’ve adapted and have come through stronger as a result and I believe that I can achieve what those with two hands can achieve.”

At age 10, Megan began playing for Basingstoke HC and continues to play for them now, alongside the College’s first team. It has been an honour witnessing the progression of Megan’s professional hockey career throughout her years at Pangbourne.

A true role model for her peers, Megan has shown what can be achieved through perseverance and tremendous dedication.
