This year’s 100% Colour Run around the College’s extensive grounds for the second year running was in aid of the Pangbourne College Community Fund, which supports a range of charities.
The #TeamPangbourne spirit was, once again, out in force as everyone committed to running their length of the cross-country course. Over £1,000 was raised and the effort and commitment shown by the entire College community was inspiring.
No important Pangbourne event like this could be staged without a competitive element to it! There were two parts to the competition. The number of ‘top 10 finishers’ in Year 9 and 10 (Junior category) and the number of ‘top 10 finishers’ in Year 11 and the Sixth Form (Senior category), as well as the total percentage of each division who completed the whole course.
The results were:
Senior Top 10 Finishers for the boys' divisions:
- 1st place: Harbinger
- 2nd place: Hesperus
- 3rd place: Port Jackson
- 4th place: Macquarie
Senior Top 10 Finishers for the girls' divisions:
- 1st place: Illawarra
- 2nd place: St George
Junior Top 10 Finishers for the boys' divisions:
- 1st place: Port Jackson
- 2nd place: Macquarie
- 3rd place: Hesperus
- 4th place: Harbinger
Junior Top 10 Finishers for the girls' divisions:
- 1st place: St George
- 2nd place: Illawarra
The percentage of each division completing the course for the boys' divisions:
- 1st place: Macquarie
- 2nd place: Hesperus
- 3rd place: Harbinger
- 4th place: Port Jackson
The percentage of each division completing the course for the girls' divisions:
- 1st place: Illawarra
- 2nd place: St George
There was no overall winner because each section accrues Divisional Sport points, with the percentage of each division carrying double points.
#PangCollDunbar (Years 7 and 8) also raced fantastically, showing that the Team Pangbourne spirit runs right through the College. Some of them enjoyed it so much they completed the course two to three times!
