Wellbeing Competition

On Friday, Paul Graham (Schools Health & Wellbeing Co-ordinator) visited Pangbourne to present the West Berks Wellbeing Award🏆

We have been working towards this Award since December 2023 and it has enabled us to strengthen our ethos of excellent pastoral care and tackle some important areas, including the mental health of boys and young men with the introduction of the Andrew Simpson Society.

In the words of Fin Wells, a Year 13 student who left the College last year:
‘I think the new initiative of the Andrew Simpson Society is vital. It allows us to share our opinions about how we feel in a judgemental free zone. As this society grows in the future, I know it will definitely help out a lot of the young men at Pangbourne.‘

In this ever-changing world, we can never be complacent and are always looking to improve the support we give those young people in our care. This follows on nicely from our recent success of being selected as finalists for the Independent Schools of the Year Award in recognition for our work in Student Wellbeing.
