The Dunbar Inter-Watch Music Competition took place on Thursday 2 February. We were delighted to welcome parents, family members, and friends as music and jubilation filled the Chapel. All pupils in Dunbar (Years 7 & 8) were involved, allowing them the opportunity to perform in front of others.
It was an enjoyable and entertaining evening with each Watch performing a song of their choosing. The choice of songs included Neil Diamond’s ‘Sweet Caroline’, Elton John’s ‘I’m Still Standing’, Backstreet Boys’ ‘I Want It That Way’, and Journey’s ‘Don’t Stop Believin’’.
Impressive solos were given by Charlotte (drums), Maximus (guitar), Sadie (voice), and Jonty (clarinet). Congratulations to Aft for being the winning Watch with their rendition of ‘I Want It That Way’, and to Sadie as the Soloist winner.
We were delighted to welcome Mrs Sarah Carley, Director of Music at Thorngrove School, as our adjudicator who selected the musical winners. Many congratulations to them and thank you to all those who took part.
