Students celebrate their GCSE results
Pangbourne College is pleased to announce their GCSE results for 2024 with many top grades including Grade 8s and 9s in 18 different subjects.
The hard work and dedication to their studies shown by the students over the past two years was rewarded with celebration as they received their grades, with some exceeding their expectations.
Mr Mark Seccombe, Deputy Head Academic, said: “As has been widely reported, this year group suffered significant disruption to the start of their secondary education and the strong results show the determination and focus shown by our pupils. There are a number of pupils who have performed exceptionally well and achieved ‘headline grabbing’ results but there are also many pupils for whom more modest grades represent a significant accomplishment. We hope that they enjoy their well-earned celebrations.”
Mrs Stephanie Poynter, Head of Key Stage 4, added “There are so many nerves in advance of today and it’s always so wonderful to see the pupils receive the reward for their hard work.”
Pangbourne’s new Head, Mr Oli Knight, commented “I am delighted to see that the hard work and perseverance of our students has paid off, especially in light of the disruption they suffered in the foundational years of their senior school experience. We look forward to welcoming them back to our Sixth Form to continue their path to university.”
