What a fantastic festive period we have had at Pangbourne College this year! The final week before the Christmas break is always filled with fun events to really get everyone into the Christmas spirit and celebrate the past year.

It started off with a delicious Christmas lunch, created by our fantastic Thomas Franks catering team. They put together some classic Christmas dinner must-haves including turkey, gammon, roast potatoes, pigs in blankets and brussels sprouts. Then we were presented with an impressive display of desserts including Christmas pudding, chocolate yule log and gingerbread biscuits. True to Pangbourne tradition, SLT served up Christmas lunch to all our students and staff. Students enjoyed sitting with their divisions, singing Christmas songs, whilst enjoying their meal!

Next up on the agenda was Div Ergo. The energy in the sports hall was electric as each division competed to win the trophy. In Dunbar, the winners were Port, and our overall girls’ winners were St George and boys’ winners were Hesperus. Congratulations to everyone involved.

Finally, it was time for the carol concert. This is an annual event at Pangbourne, held in our Falkland Islands Memorial Chapel. Students, staff and parents joined together for this wonderful festive service of lessons and carols. It is always a joyful way to end the busy Michaelmas term and certainly brought together our already strong Pangbourne Community at the end of 2024.

The new year is now upon us and we have many more exciting things in store for 2025!
