About me

I started teaching over 20 years ago and have worked in both the state and independent sector, as well as abroad in New Zealand. In that time, I have been a Housemaster and Deputy Head (Pastoral) before becoming Head of Maths in what is my second stint at Pangbourne. I am now the Deputy Head Pastoral here at the College. I enjoy all manner of sports, travel, skiing, mountaineering and chess. I am fortunate that many of these passions can be pursued at Pangbourne and that I can introduce pupils to them.

Why do I love teaching Mathematics?

Maths is the language of the universe.

My other roles at Pangbourne are:

  • Maths teacher
  • Rowing coach
  • Rugby coach
  • Tutor
  • Ski Trip Coordinator
  • DofE Supervisor & Assessor

If I hadn't been a teacher I would have been...

Ski Instructor or Paramedic

My role model is...

Alwyn Williams - Former Headmaster, Wairarapa College, New Zealand

I would describe Pangbourne as...

Worth coming back to.
