About me

I originally trained as a broadcast journalist and worked for a short time in BBC local radio. I then moved into the world of marketing communications working largely in the non-profit sector. I spent several years at WWF, the global environmental charity, before taking a career break to have children. In recent times, I worked for the Parish of Pangbourne before joining Pangbourne College as a Librarian.

I love my role because...

“The more you read, the more things you know. The more that you learn, the more places you’ll go.” - Dr Seuss. This famous quote sums up why I am passionate about the Library at Pangbourne College and my role as Librarian. Helping to embed a passion for reading and supporting teaching and learning across the school is key to what I do. Reading is an essential skill for developing your imagination and discovering the things that interest you.

My role model is...

No one person in particular, but I am inspired by people who are passionate about what they believe in, have confidence in what they do and don't follow the crowd just because they think they should.

I would describe Pangbourne as...

A friendly community that cares about individual students and helps them develop, grow in confidence and reach their full potential.
