About me
I came to teaching when I realised that my greatest pleasure is in helping others realise their full potential. I previously worked as a research student at Durham University and had my first opportunity to teach undergraduate and postgraduate students. It was then I realised that it was teaching that I enjoyed more than research.
Outside of teaching, my hobbies include rowing and model rocketry, both of which I bring to Pangbourne College.
I studied at Durham University for a BA (Hons) in Economics and an MSc in Corporate and International Finance. I completed my PGCE at Reading University.
Why do I love teaching?
Mathematics is a beautiful subject where there are simple logical rules to explain everything that we do, I enjoy helping pupils discover that beauty. On a more practical side, mathematics is where pupils have the greatest chance to develop their problem solving skills and I feel this is a vital life long skill that I am able to help our young people develop.
