About me
Originally from Derbyshire, my family relocated to Dorset whilst I was still young, and I was educated in an all Girls school in Bournemouth. I completed my A Levels and studied at The Royal Central School of Speech and Drama in London, gaining a B.Ed (Hons) degree. I went on to teach in London and Kent in State schools, before moving to Pangbourne in 2013. My passion has always been in Theatre and I will be found in theatres most weekends.
Why do I love teaching?
Drama is an over looked and underestimated subject and my desire is for students and the wider college to understand how much a creative and expressive mind can help you in all aspects of life and career, regardless of what career path you take.
My other roles at Pangbourne are...
- Head of PSHCE
- Visiting Tutor for St George
If I hadn't been a teacher I would have been...
A Master Gin distiller/Sommelier
My role model is...
Dame Judi Dench
I would describe Pangbourne as...
Whole encompassing. In life you get out what you put in, and Pangbourne is no different. If you are willing to embrace all that Pangbourne has to offer, the rewards are there for you. It will offer you support, it will give you skills for life, and it will make you believe that you can achieve all that you want in life.
