About me

I was born in South East London and educated in Farnborough. My first job lasted 14 years as a Porter/Driver for Lentheric in Camberley. My second job was at Pangbourne College, and I have been here for over 30 years. Some of my many duties include the running of the pool, safety of our minibuses, assisting of our many school runs as Transport Manager, looking after the external sports lettings, and helping with our boarding trips over the weekend. Spare time? Feet up!

I love my role because...

I enjoy seeing the pupils and staff happy. I like to help out wherever I can and I want to see Pangbourne running smoothly.

My role model is...

When I was a kid at school I spent half my time looking out the window of my classroom, watching people walking by. The ground staff working - I wanted to be with them, not stuck in a classroom! Now I’m there, outside the classroom and that’s what keeps me going, knowing that there is a kid possibly looking at me and wanting to do what I’m doing now.

I would describe Pangbourne as...

An incredible community. I am still in contact with many pupils from my time here. When I go to different places I always know someone who went to Pangbourne. During the pandemic, I was isolated with some of the best staff who you definitely would not find anywhere else! Downside... they had to put up with me!
