About me

I have been teaching since 2004 and Pangbourne is my third school. I started here in 2014 after moving out of London with my family. Initially, I focused more on teaching Business (my undergraduate degree is a BSc in Management Sciences and French from Southampton), but after doing a Masters in Chinese Economics, Language and International Relations at Sheffield, I have generally focused more on Economics. I have held a number of roles in my time here and I am currently studying towards a Masters in Educational Leadership.

Why do I love teaching?

Economics has always been a useful subject to study, but the extent to which it has affected everyday life in recent years has made an awareness of the fundamentals incredibly important. I like the fact that it is a social science and incorporates both the elements of logic and process from the sciences as well as the debate and judgement of the arts.

My other roles at Pangbourne are...

  • Development of the academic staff
  • Sixth Form Tutor
  • Teacher of Economics and Business

I would describe Pangbourne as...

First and foremost, I think Pangbourne is a strong community. Even though I do not live on site, there is still a feeling that you are part of something where people matter.
